About Gerron Group

“I know buying or selling a business can be overwhelming, particularly if you’re new to the process. Having worked in in-house corporate development for many years, I’m able to put myself in my clients’ shoes and understand what they’re facing. My goal is for clients to have clarity and feel confident and, at the end of the day, rest easy knowing that they have an experienced partner helping them reach their goal.”

DANIEL T. GERRON
PRINCIPAL

Dan brings 25 years of M&A experience to his work with clients. He brings a unique perspective to his advisory services, having spent much of his career working in in-house corporate development. Dan’s approach always starts by applying a strategic lens – looking at what the client is trying to achieve, what their motivations are, and how they define success.

His buy-side work includes a proven track record of identifying, evaluating, closing and integrating accretive software and services acquisitions with growing revenues. He also has experience working with management teams to identify and solicit potential buyers and then to structure and execute a process to market and sell their businesses.

Prior to Gerron Group, Dan served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development for Monotype Imaging, a publicly traded software firm. There, he led efforts to acquire eight companies that increased revenue by more than 50% during his 10-year tenure. Previously, Dan held a variety of corporate development and finance roles over 12 years at MapInfo Corporation, a location intelligence software company, and, later, MapInfo’s acquirer, Pitney Bowes.  At both companies, Dan led acquisition and disposition efforts, including MapInfo’s sale to Pitney Bowes.

Dan received both a BA and MBA from the University of Texas.  He is a Registered Representative of Finalis Securities LLC Member FINRA / SIPC.
